Every tarot deck starts with The Fool: card zero, the one who steps off the cliff edge with no idea what's below, driven by pure curiosity and a complete lack of self-preservation. We can't think of a better mascot than Tiktaalik.

Around 375 million years ago, in the swamps of the Devonian period, this flat-headed, fish-with-benefits decided that dry land looked interesting. Tiktaalik had gills like a fish but also lungs, a neck that could turn, and stubby fins with the beginnings of wrists and fingers inside them. It's one of the most famous "fishapods" ever found, a snapshot of the exact moment vertebrates started hauling themselves out of the water and onto land. Every amphibian, reptile, bird, dinosaur, and mammal that followed, including you, owes a little something to that first foolish flop onto the mud.

So here's Tiktaalik as The Fool: not naive, just brave. The original first step into the unknown, 375 million years before anyone called it courage.

Wear it if you appreciate evolutionary history, tarot, or the idea that every great journey starts with one slightly reckless decision.
