Black belt: the white belt that never quit. Not talent. Not a shortcut. Just years of showing up when quitting would have been the easier, more forgivable choice.

Every black belt was a white belt first, tapping constantly, losing the positional battle to people with six weeks of experience, wondering if the technique would ever click. The ones who make it aren't the most gifted in the room. They're the ones who never quit long enough to find out.

For the practitioners who are still that white belt, and know exactly where it leads if they keep showing up.
