From the Artist: The earliest ancestor of horses, the Eohippus also known as Hyracotherium, was so small it is often compared to a fox terrier. Over millions of years, this tiny forest dwelling creature evolved into the powerful and majestic Equus ferus, the modern wild horse.

The horse is often celebrated not only for its evolutionary journey but also for its cultural significance, including its place in the Chinese zodiac as the Year of the Horse (马), a symbol of strength, energy, freedom, and determination.
