FOR THE FOSSIL RECORD: I'M A DELIGHT. Mosasaurus hoffmannii files its own glowing review while the engraving says otherwise: jaws open back to the hinge, rows of conical teeth, and behind them a second short row of teeth on the roof of the mouth, which real mosasaurs had. It was a giant marine reptile, a relative of today's lizards rather than a dinosaur, in the seas of 70 to 66 million years ago.
