This vintage-style linocut design features the iconic skulls of two Late Cretaceous giants: Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops horridus. Set against a prehistoric landscape with erupting volcanoes, primitive flora, and fossil motifs like ammonites and trilobites, this artwork captures the essence of the Cretaceous Period (approximately 145–66 million years ago). During this time, flowering plants were spreading, and these two dinosaurs roamed what is now North America. The T. rex, a formidable predator, and the Triceratops, a heavily built herbivore with its distinctive frill and horns, are symbolic of the dramatic ecosystem interactions of their era.
